 | Digital History Interactive Timeline

UH College of History and College of Education

The University of Houston College of History and College of Education collaborated to produce the Digital History Web Site, an online resource for history teachers and students. The goal of the site is to use technology to provide teachers with resources to use in the classroom and help students get excites about U.S. history. The project leads hired Stuff Creators to create an interactive timeline of U.S. history.

The timeline was created in Flash and allows users to view the events in U.S. history that would have occurred in their lifetimes. The amber slider shows users what their life expectancy would be in different centuries and the events in the main window show what would have happened in a person's life during that time period.

This interactive Flash Web site was chosen by Macromedia as the Site of the Day, December 13, 2003.
